Apple usually announces new iPhones in early September, so purchasing the newest iPhone 17 just ahead of the company’s next launch could result in missing out on new features and improvements. The biggest announcements will likely revolve around the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple is reportedly preparing to launch several upgrades, including a new generation of its A20 Pro chip and a redesigned camera system that could feature variable aperture technology. This feature would give users more control over how much light is let into the main camera and could improve exposure, image quality, and background blur in photos.
But the biggest surprise at the September 9 event could be a foldable iPhone. Apple is said to be developing a book-like gadget with a bigger internal display, which could give the company a new way to enter the premium foldable market now led by Samsung.
