In 2025, the United States ranked first in the use of AI tools. The country produced 26.9 billion visits to artificial intelligence tools’ websites. India, the world’s most populous country, follows with 12.0 billion visits.

Today, artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of people’s daily lives. From studying and writing to searching for information, planning tasks, creating images and videos, and handling professional work, people are increasingly turning to AI tools for help. Consequently, worldwide visits to websites that are associated with AI tools have increased substantially.

Here are the top 10 countries with the most visits to AI tools websites in 2025: The list was published by Visual Capitalist, using data from AITools.xyz, which aggregates traffic estimates from SEMrush and Ahrefs for more than 9,500 AI tool websites. The numbers are visits to the website, not unique users, and do not include mobile-app sessions.

Rank Country Visits (Billions)
1United States26.92
2India11.96
3Brazil7.02
4Germany4.57
5United Kingdom3.84
6Indonesia3.66
7France3.42
8Japan3.29
9Canada2.96
10Philippines2.93

Brazil is in third place with 7.0 billion visits, well ahead of Germany (4.6 billion), the United Kingdom (3.8 billion), Indonesia (3.66), and France (3.4 billion). The increase in India and Brazil is due to their populations.

In eighth place is technologically advanced country Japan (3.29), followed by Canada (2.96) and the Philippines (2.93).

But many may ask: why is China, the world’s second-largest AI power after the US in terms of model development, absent from the list? Last year, the country drew 2.4 billion visits, according to Visual Capitalist.

China has restricted access to American and European AI tools, but domestic models such as DeepSeek, Doubao, and Quark are widely used.

America’s Growing Lead in AI

All 10 countries on the list are working on their own AI models. Some countries have already launched their own AI models and have established a good foothold in the market, while others are still working on new models. However, the United States is the most advanced of all countries, with its own AI models like chatGPT, Claude, Gemini Llama, and Grok.
