Earlier this month, İQOO shared a teaser on its Weibo account, showing a glimpse of the redesigned rear camera module of the upcoming iQOO 16 phone. Following the teaser, the company confirmed that the phone will use Samsung’s new M16 display panel, 165Hz refresh rate, and 2K resolution. Now we know the launch date and color options of the handset that iQOO has revealed.
In the post, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO confirmed that the iQOO 16 will debut in China on September 29 and go on sale on the same day as the launch event. The company said the phone will be available in three color variants—’Chasing Light,’ ‘Legendary’ and ‘Racing Track’.
iQOO has not officially revealed most of the specifications of the phone except for the display. But the phone could pack a powerful 8,400mAh battery and be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, according to the latest leaks. Apart from these features, the phone is also rumored to include a triple rear camera setup and a dedicated Q4 chip for performance and gaming.
The phone is now available for pre-order in China via iQOO’s online store. The phone is expected to be launched along with the iQOO Pad Ultra on the same day of launch.
